Viewnext, the technology consulting firm part of the IBM Group, is set to open a new center in Murcia this September, with plans to create 500 jobs over the next three years.
The new facility will be located at the Myrtea campus in the city of Murcia and will initially employ 25 people, with additional staff recruited through training scholarships in collaboration with the Alfonso X University of Madrid.
From its new innovation hub in Murcia, Viewnext will offer a wide range of services, including artificial intelligence, data management and security, application modernization, digital experience, and business solutions for clients in sectors such as banking, insurance, industry, telecommunications, and the public sector.
According to Viewnext’s CEO, the company was drawn to the Region of Murcia for several reasons. “The ease and simplicity of administrative processes made Murcia an especially attractive region for investment,” he said. He also highlighted the young population and the region’s high-quality educational institutions, including universities and vocational training centers, as key factors in their decision. “All of these were highly valued criteria in our investment decision,” he added.
