ESP Solutions, the Canadian private equity firm Brookfield and the real estate developer Logistik Service have signed an agreement to develop a turnkey logistics project located in the municipality of Alhama de Murcia, which will be one of the most modern refrigeration projects in Europe.
The project will be built on a plot of 85,000 sqm and will be carried out in two phases.
The first, the construction of a 20,000 sqm cold logistics platform, with a capacity for 35,000 pallets, 40 loading and unloading docks and the state-of-the-art refrigeration and freezing facilities.
In a second phase, of a similar size and slightly larger capacity, the turnkey project will meet the highest quality standards and will be equipped with important sustainability and environmental measures.
Once the construction of these two phases is completed, ESP Solutions will own one of the most modern cold storage projects in Southern Europe, with a storage capacity of up to 80,000 pallets and 100 loading and unloading docks.
For the implementation of this investment, the firm has requested the support of the UNAI (Investment Acceleration Unit) of Invest in Murcia, which will allow the company to reduce by 50% the time in the administrative processing necessary for the implementation of this investment project.
ESP Solutions, owned by the Avior and Blantyre funds, is a temperature-controlled transport and logistics company. Today, ESP Solutions manages a fleet of more than 1,200 vehicles and provides services in more than twenty countries.
