Amazon surpasses 2,000 permanent employees in the Region of Murcia and strengthens its logistics network

Amazon continues to strengthen its presence in the Region of Murcia. Since the opening of its facilities in Corvera almost three years ago, the e-commerce giant has created over 2,000 direct jobs in the area. The 160,000-square-meter complex, located next to the region’s international airport, houses an advanced fully automated logistics center and a parcel sorting station, which together handle hundreds of thousands of shipments daily.

The complex, which stands out for its high degree of robotization, is capable of distributing nearly half a million units per day, not only within the Region of Murcia but also across Spain and Europe, expanding its distribution network throughout the continent.

In addition to the direct jobs, Amazon works closely with around 450 local businesses, further embedding itself into the regional economy. The company’s growth in Murcia reflects its commitment to modernizing its logistics infrastructure, allowing it to offer an increasingly fast and efficient service to its customers.
